While Samsung’s Galaxy S4 hasn’t been out that long, the company has announced that they will be offering new models of S4 to fit every market. There’s the S4 Mini for those who want something smaller and a bit more affordable than the regular S4; there’s the S4 Active for those who like to get dirty without having to worry about their phone; and the main attraction, especially for photo enthusiasts, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom.
Announced in the second week of June, Samsung unveiled that the S4 Zoom wouldn’t be available in the United States until Q3, but it will hit the United Kingdom this coming summer. To that end, UK’s phone retailer, Clove, has the S4 Zoom up for pre-orders for £442 including VAT. The site also states that the first stocks are expected to arrive on July 8.
Tech enthusiasts will find the 4G-ready S4 Zoom armed with a 10x optical zoom, a great 16-megapixel CMOS sensor, and optical image stabilization for unsteady hands. It is also equipped with a 4.3-inch qHD screen, a speedy 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and 1.5GB of RAM. There’s 8GB of onboard storage and a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB. The S4 Zoom is running the latest Android 4.2 Jellybean and also includes elite Samsung apps such as S Translate and S Voice.
Samsung is in a good position to add this kind of feature to this phone, as they also manufacture and sell digital cameras. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, on the other hand, will just represent one of their different variants to broaden their massive phone lineup.
