The show began with a disclaimer that read, “This episode of ‘Glee’ addresses the topic of school violence. Viewer discretion is advised.”

Midway through the episode as glee club coach Will Schuester, played by Matthew Morrison, gathered the group in the choir room for practice, gunshots were heard in the background. The choir room door was immediately shut, the students hid, and Mr. Schue gave orders to “Start texting, tweeting, let everyone know what’s going on but don’t tell them we’re here…” followed by an, “I love you guys,” while waiting for what’s going to happen next.
