Other than The Beatles, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Jeopardy, there are more iconic things turning 50 this year.

Here are those things and personalities joining the half-century club this 2014:

Sandra Bullock

The Gravity and Oscar-nominated star is among the several celebrities and notables to turn 50 this 2014. Other personalities are Dan Brown, Nicolas Cage, Courteney Cox, Russell Crowe, Matt Dillon, Christopher Eccleston, Melinda Gates, Courtney Love, Elle Macpherson, Michelle Obama, Sarah Palin, Keanu Reeves, and Marisa Tomei.

Mary Poppins

Eliza Doolittle, played by British musical star Julie Andrews, acclaimed countless theater performances of My Fair Lady. Andrews was replaced in the movie version by Audrey Hepburn – a more marketable celebrity who didn’t do her own singing. As a relief, Walt Disney casted Julie Andrews in the title role of their movie adaptation of Mary Poppins.

The Addams Family

This famous sitcom was never a major ratings hit, but it won an enormous cult following. Addams would possibly like the notion that the sitcom was “cursed”— most of the cast was dead within 20 years.
