American actor Shia LaBeouf has walked out of a news conference for the film “Nymphomaniac” at the Berlin Film Festival.
The enigmatic exit
The 27-year-old actor made quite an impression while promoting director Lars von Trier’s new film, as he gave a bizarre answer to a single question and later wore a paper bag on his head at the red carpet premier.
In the press conference, LaBeouf was asked what it was like to shoot a movie with so many sex scenes. He answered cryptically: “When the seagulls follow the trawler, it’s because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea. Thank you very much.”
After making the statement, LaBeouf left the conference.
Later the same day, LaBeouf turned up for the red carpet in conventional formal wear, apart from a paper bag on his head.
He posed for photographers wearing a stylish tuxedo and a paper bag with eyeholes and the words: “I am not famous anymore.”
